The final scores of the Estonian phase of the European Statistics Competition 2020 were revealed on 10 March. The winning team in the older age group came from Viljandi Gymnasium, in the younger age group from Tartu Veeriku School.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2015, the production of industrial enterprises decreased 2% compared to May of the previous year. Production decreased in manufacturing and mining as well as in energy production.

The next population and housing census in Estonia will, for the first time in Estonian history, take place on the basis of registers, i.e. no information is asked from people directly, the results are put together based on the data stored in state databases. Commissioned by the Government of Estonia, Statistics Estonia, together with Telia, Tele2 and Elisa, are conducting mobility analysis based on anonymous data of the mobile networks. The first results show that the mobility of people has decreased as a result of the stricter restrictions introduced on 11 March and resembles that of the emergency situation period of last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,553 euros, which is 7.8% more than the year before. Gross wages and salaries were highest in Harju and Tartu counties, and in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, compared to 2018, the number of passengers on main national ship lines increased by 4% and in international traffic by 0.3%. The freight volume of ports in tonnes increased by around 5%.
