According to Statistics Estonia, 498,000 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments in July 2017, which is 2% more than in July 2016.
Statistics Estonia will present today, on 28 June the publication “Pilte rahvaloendusest. Census Snapshots” which provides an overview of the results of the 2011 Population and Housing Census and reflects some newer aspects revealed during the last Census.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2011, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year. At the same time the continually improving comparison basis turns the growth rate slower.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2017, the production of industrial enterprises increased 4% compared to September 2016. Production increased in mining and quarrying but decreased in the energy sector.
According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate in was 5.2% and the employment rate was 67.2% in the 3rd quarter of 2015. The employment and unemployment figures of the 3rd quarter resemble those of the economic boom.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were about 7,000 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2013. Compared to the same period of the previous year, their number decreased by 1.1%, but increased by 5.7% compared to the previous quarter.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2009 63% of Estonian households had access to the Internet at home, compared to the same period of the previous year this indicator has increased five percentage points. Almost all enterprises with 10 and more persons employed had access to the Internet as in the previous three years.
According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2009 compared to February of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises decreased 18% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 6.5% and the employment rate was 64.1% in the 1st quarter of 2016. There were no major changes compared to the 1st quarter of the previous year.
