According to Statistics Estonia, in 2009 the Estonian overall tax ratio was 36% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Compared to 2008, the ratio of taxes rose by 4 percentage points, mostly due to the increase of excise duties.

Statistics Estonia prepared an analysis for the Estonian Education and Youth Authority on the economic impact of international students working in Estonia. It appeared that during the academic year 2019/2020, international students paid 10 million euros in income and social tax in Estonia and international graduates more than 3 million euros.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016, the Dwelling Price Index changed by -0.1% compared to the 4th quarter of 2015 and by 2% compared to the 1st quarter of 2015.

In the third quarter, exports of services reached the highest level of recent years

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the third quarter of 2022, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 32% and imports by 33% year on year. Estonia’s exports of services totalled 2.8 billion euros and imports of services 2.2 billion euros. The balance of foreign trade in services was in surplus by 568 million euros, which is 129 million euros more than in the same quarter last year.
