According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2018, domestic and foreign tourists staying in accommodation establishments numbered 251,000, which is 3% less than in April 2017. The number of foreign tourists decreased, while the number of domestic tourists stayed at the level of the previous year.

Final list of the holdings whom Statistics Estonia expects to submit data at the 2010 Agricultural Census was completed by the beginning of August. The Agricultural Census will be conducted from 1 September to 15 November.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2016, the average monthly gross income per employee was 1,073 euros. The growth of gross income continued at the same rate as in previous years (6%), however, the number of people receiving income started to decrease for the first time since the years of the economic crisis.
The OECD expert group will visit Estonia

From 16–18 June the expert group of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will be visiting Statistics Estonia in order to elaborate the report estimating the ability of Estonia to meet the statistical requirements for joining the OECD.
The volume of aquaculture production sold fell last year

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2015, the total amount of commercial fish and crayfish sold by aquaculture enterprises was 795 tonnes, with a total value of 3.3 million euros. Compared to 2014, the amount of fish and crayfish production sold has decreased 8% and the monetary value of production – 3%.

According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 10.2% in 2012 and 9.3% in the 4th quarter. Unemployment decreased compared to the previous year and the 4th quarter of the previous year. Long-term unemployment also decreased.
Estonia’s research and development intensity is average among the European Union member states

Estonia’s research and development intensity indicator was 1.28 in 2016, placing Estonia 13th in the ranking of the European Union countries. Estonia is significantly ahead of Lithuania and Latvia, but still lags far behind Finland.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 8,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2013. Compared to the same period of the previous year their number increased by 12.3%, and compared to the previous quarter by 12.7%.
