According to Statistics Estonia there were 2.6 million cinema visits in 2014, which is an all-time record since the restoration of independence. In the last nine years, cinema attendance has increased each year.
The winner in the older age group was team Radiaator, supervised by Kerli Orav-Puurand, from Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium, and the winner in the younger age group was team Auleobak, supervised by Jelena Ait, from Tallinna Tõnismäe Reaalkool.
According to Statistics Estonia, 56.5% of the population aged 16–74 used e-commerce in the last three months. Compared to last year, the overall popularity of e-commerce has remained the same, but the amounts spent on purchasing goods and services have increased. The results of the enterprise survey showed that more than half of the companies using the internet use paid cloud services.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2014, 83% of households in Estonia had access to the Internet at home. The gap between the younger and older population in computer and Internet use is decreasing.
According to Statistics Estonia, 236,000 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of Estonia in November 2017, i.e. 10% more than in November 2016.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2019, there were 11,892 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number of job vacancies has remained above 10,000 since the 1st quarter of 2017.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2016, 212,400 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which was 13% more than in March 2015. The number of both domestic and foreign tourists increased.
Children’s Subjective Well-Being in Local and International Perspectives, a publication of Statistics Estonia, was presented at the international child well-being conference in Tartu. The aim of the publication is to show the complexity of understanding children’s well-being.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 4%.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in May 2020 was -0.7% compared to April 2020 and -1.7% compared to May 2019. Compared to May of the previous year, goods were 1.5% and services 2.0% cheaper.
