According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2021, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 656 million euros. Compared to April 2020, turnover increased by 23% at constant prices – the increase was mainly the result of both trade enterprises and consumers adjusting to the restrictions related to the coronavirus crisis.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2024, the total production value of construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 13% compared with the same quarter a year earlier. On the domestic construction market, volume fell by 14%.

According to Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 2.9% in the second quarter of 2023 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The GDP at current prices amounted to 9.4 billion euros.

Foreign trade statistics are on the brink of changes. Our goal is to start reducing the administrative burden. In order to do that, we need to first introduce some changes in our existing foreign trade questionnaire INTRASTAT (dispatches and arrivals). These changes will allow the transition to SIMSTAT, i.e. single flow collection, starting from 2025. The briefing session gives information about filling in the updated questionnaire as well as creating related IT solutions.
