According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 1.7 billion euros, which is 27% more than the year before. Construction volumes, which had started to decline in 2008, took an upturn in 2011.

Secure data interoperability Statistics Estonia received 1,099,300 euros via the innovation fund for the project “Secure data interoperability between sectors”. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2010, the number of unemployed persons decreased to 93,000 and the unemployment rate to 13.6%. The annual average number of unemployed persons was the largest during the period after the restoration of independence in Estonia.
In March, the number of tourists in accommodation establishments decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, 188,000 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in March 2015, which is 3% fewer than in March 2014. The number of foreign tourists decreased and the number of domestic tourists increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the midnight of 31 March the pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011) came to an end, in the course of which, according to preliminary data, a total of 12,531 persons were enumerated. For the first time, the people could enumerate themselves via the Internet.

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2016, the exports of goods increased by 12% and imports by 8% compared to August of the previous year. Export growth was faster than import growth and reduced the trade deficit, which was at the lowest level of this year.

Tomorrow, on 5 March starts the second phase of the pilot Census of 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011), in the course of which the enumerators of Statistics Estonia will visit those people living in the pilot Census areas who did not participate in e-census.
