According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2012 compared to April of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 6% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2014, exports from Estonia amounted to 12.1 billion euros and imports to Estonia to 13.7 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 1.6 billion euros and it increased by 126 million euros compared to 2013.

The biggest downfall was in the 2nd quarter when the GDP decreased by 16.1%. After that, the decrease gradually decelerated. In the 4th quarter, the GDP decreased by 9.5% according to the first estimates.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2013, exports of goods increased by 6% and imports by 8% at current prices compared to April of the previous year. While the foreign trade declined in February and March compared to the previous year, then as of April, the trade increased. The increase in trade was mainly influenced by machinery and equipment.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2014, exports of goods increased by 7% and imports by 9% at current prices compared to September of the previous year. The increase in exports and imports was mostly influenced by the trade of electrical equipment and raw materials and products of chemical industry. Over the nine months of 2014, exports and imports declined by 3% compared to the same period of 2013.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. During the three quarters this year economic the growth has been stably robust.
