According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2016, the exports of goods increased by 4% and imports by 11% compared to May of the previous year. The imports of goods increased more than the exports of goods, resulting in an increase in the trade deficit.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, the production of milk amounted to 773,800 tonnes in 2015, which is 4% less than the year before. The number of dairy cows decreased by the end of the year, while milk yield per cow increased.
