According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2017, the production of industrial enterprises increased 13% compared to May of the previous year. Production increased in the energy sector and mining and quarrying as well as in manufacturing.

Data collected from registers in the 2021 census reveal that in ten years, Estonia’s population has grown, people live longer, and the number of working-age persons has fallen. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016, 86% of households in Estonia had Internet access at home. There has been an increase in the share of people having used e-commerce services more than five times in the last three months.

Conference “Small Estonia, big Europe – what do statistics show?” of Statistics Estonia and Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, is taking place today, 24 October. The conference focuses on consumers of statistics.
