29% of people in Estonia are estimated to be affiliated with a religion. This figure has remained unchanged over the last three population censuses. However, the proportion of people who do not feel an affiliation to any religion has increased – from 54% in 2011 to 58% in 2021. The most prevalent religion in Estonia is Orthodox Christianity.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.5 billion and imports to 1.8 billion euros. Compared with October 2022, exports of goods decreased by 21% and imports by 17% at current prices. The trade deficit in October was 307 million euros, which is 24 million euros more than a year earlier.

People go to the cinema more and more in Estonia. A proof of that is ever larger admittance numbers as well as a wide selection of films at the cinema. There are around 50 cinemas in Estonia with over 80 screens. How great is inequality in Estonia and how is it divided? As part of the analysis, 11 person profiles were created to depict social gaps and inequality in Estonia. The profiles included a person’s household type, number of children in the household, as well as age, sex, education, ethnic nationality, place of residence, disability and its degree, income, employment, benefits received, distance between place of residence and place of work, health status and satisfaction with life.

According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2019, milk production increased by 3% and meat production by 5%, while egg production was smaller than ever. Compared to 2018, the number of dairy cows, sheep and poultry decreased, while the number of pigs increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, 30 full-length films were produced in Estonia last year, including 15 documentaries, 13 feature films and two animations. The number of short films (less than 60 minutes in length) produced last year was 132, including 62 documentaries, 44 feature films and 26 animations. Cinema attendance totalled nearly 3.7 million.
