According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate rose to 14.6% in the 3rd quarter of the current year and the number of the unemployed was the largest during the period after the restoration of independence in Estonia. The positive change on the labour market was that the decrease of the employment stopped.

Secure data interoperability Statistics Estonia received 1,099,300 euros via the innovation fund for the project “Secure data interoperability between sectors”. According to Statistics Estonia, 148,000 foreign tourists and 80,000 domestic tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in October 2013. The total number of tourists increased 4% compared to October of the previous year.
