Helga Laurmaa, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that nearly 1.86 million foreign tourists and nearly 1.76 million domestic tourists were accommodated in Estonia in 2024. “Compared with 2023, there were 11% more foreign tourists, while the number of domestic tourists remained at the same level. Johanna Linda Pihlak, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, pointed out that the turnover volume of retail trade enterprises, which declined in May, started to grow again in June. The increase in turnover volume in June was driven by grocery stores, where turnover volume grew after more than two years of decline. “The turnover volume of grocery stores increased by 1% compared with June last year. Johanna Linda Pihlak, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the turnover volume of retail trade enterprises started to decline in May, after a period of growth since the beginning of the year. “This was due to stores selling manufactured goods where the volume of turnover was down by 5% year on year.
