Statistics Estonia collects data about economic and social indicators to give a detailed overview of economic trends and life in Estonia. This year, Statistics Estonia will carry out over one hundred surveys involving more than 26,000 enterprises in total. Is there no other way to get these data?

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the first quarter of 2024, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 2%, while imports were unchanged from the same period last year. Sales of services to non-residents totalled €2.8 billion and purchases of services from non-residents amounted to €2.2 billion at current prices. The balance of foreign trade in services was in surplus by €595 million, which is €45 million more than a year earlier.

Egle Raidsalu, the Enterprise Statistics Service Manager at Statistics Estonia, said that 2025 was a positive year for manufacturing when compared with the year before. “The volume of production grew for eight months, then fell in September and October, and started to rise again in the final months of the year,” explained Raidsalu. According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the third quarter of 2022, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 32% and imports by 33% year on year. Estonia’s exports of services totalled 2.8 billion euros and imports of services 2.2 billion euros. The balance of foreign trade in services was in surplus by 568 million euros, which is 129 million euros more than in the same quarter last year.

The results of Statistics Estonia's Tourism Survey of 2022 show that Estonian residents made over a million outbound overnight trips last year, which is 90% more than in 2021. The number of overnight domestic trips was nearly 2.6 million – 16% more than the year before. In 2022, the expenditures on outbound trips amounted to over 1 billion euros and the expenditures on domestic trips to more than 178 million euros.
