HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.9% in August
According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in August 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, increased by 0.9% compared with July. In comparison with July last year, the HICP rose by 6.2%. The HICP is a flash estimate, which will be revised based on the August price data.

Statistics Estonia's ICT survey: half of Estonian enterprises use data analytics
The latest information technology survey conducted by Statistics Estonia reveals that an increasing number of Estonian enterprises are using data analytics in their daily work, with the latest figures showing that 49% of them do so. At least one artificial intelligence (AI) technology is used by 22% of enterprises, and 61% use paid cloud services.
Over half a million tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in July
According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served nearly 502,000 tourists in July 2025, which is 1% less than in the same month a year earlier. There were 2% more foreign tourists and 5% fewer domestic tourists than in July last year.
The consumer price index rose by 6.1% year on year
According to Statistics Estonia, in August, the consumer price index increased by 1% compared with July and by 6.1% compared with August 2024. Goods were 4% and services 9.3% more expensive than in August last year.
Industrial production grew by 0.7% in July
According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2025, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 0.7% at constant prices compared with July 2024. Among the three industrial sectors, output increased by 3.5% in manufacturing but decreased by 29.1% in energy production and by 8.7% in mining.
The number of job vacancies rose to over 10,000
According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2025, there were 10,344 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions, and organisations of Estonia. This is 4.4% more than in the same quarter last year. In the second quarter, 5,731 persons left their job at the initiative of the employer.
