According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of Estonian enterprises, institutions and organisations were 1,407 euros, i.e. 7.4% higher than in 2018. The average monthly gross wages and salaries were higher in the second and fourth quarters.

While in county comparison, both increase and decrease in wages could be observed, the year-on-year growth has not been as modest in ten years.

Gross wages and salaries were the highest in Harju and Tartu counties, and in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,397 euros. Year on year, wages and salaries increased by 8.2%. The average hourly gross wages and salaries were 8.01 euros, which is 7% more than in the 3rd quarter of 2018.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 7.9% compared to the 1st quarter of 2018. In the 1st quarter of 2019, the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 7.90 euros, which is 7% more than in the 1st quarter of 2018.
