In the fourth quarter of 2025, the supply of services exceeded purchases, resulting in a surplus of 828 million euros in foreign trade in services. In 2025 overall, the balance of foreign trade in services was in surplus by 3.2 billion euros, growing by 204 million euros compared with 2024. The European Statistics Competition 2020, organised by the European statistical office Eurostat, takes place in 17 countries. Basic school, secondary school and vocational school students are invited to participate. The best teams in Estonia are awarded and will have the opportunity to participate in the international phase of the competition.

At the end of last year and beginning of this year, Statistics Estonia carried out the main rehearsal of the Population and Housing Census. 843 persons living at 422 addresses responded to the test survey online. Interviewers collected responses from 785 persons living at 410 addresses. The test survey response rate was 87.5% and the received feedback was generally positive.

By area and the number of inhabitants, the largest built-up locality is that of Tallinn, which, besides the Tallinn city area, covers the settlements of Tabasalu and Laagri.
