According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 6.6% and the employment rate was 63.3% in the 1st quarter of 2015. Compared to the first quarters of the previous years, the labour force participation rate was at the highest level of the last 15 years.
Statistics Estonia’s call to notify of double data collection elicited 54 proposals. Complete or partial re-requesting for data was identified in the case of four questionnaires.
On 13–15 March in Brussels, the Estonian team won the 3rd prize, after Croatia and France, in the "European Big Data Hackathon", organised by the European Commission statistical office Eurostat.
Today, on 29 November, Statistics Estonia is presenting the publication Regional Development in Estonia 2013, which focuses on business and economy this time. One of the topics discussed in the publication is the viability index of local government units.
Today, on 11 October, Statistics Estonia presents “Success on the Labour Market” – an overview of the average gross monthly income of persons with vocational and higher education and their social status on the labour market.
