In the first week of December, Statistics Estonia launched the Time Use Survey. The survey takes place every ten years and will end in 2021. Information is collected about how and where people over the age of 10 spend their time and what modes of transport they use.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008 exports of high-tech (HT) goods from Estonia totalled 4.6 billion kroons at current prices and imports of high-tech goods to Estonia amounted to 9.8 billion kroons. The share of HT goods in Estonia’s trade has significantly decreased during the last years.

The EKOMAR questionnaire has been designed to obtain more detailed data on the financial indicators of enterprises in order to assess Estonia's economic growth and prepare business overviews. The reference period for the EKOMAR questionnaire is a calendar year . In order to facilitate completion, the questionnaire is designed to be as similar as possible to the annual report. The annual report (AR) filed with the Business Register is one of the most important datasets used in the production of statistics. In 2021, Estonian residents made 575,000 outbound overnight trips, which is 3% more than the year before. The number of overnight domestic trips was nearly 2.3 million – this is 6% more than in 2020. Last year, the expenditures on outbound trips amounted to over 495 million euros and the expenditures on domestic trips to more than 402 million euros.
