According to Statistics Estonia, there were 19,200 agricultural holdings in Estonia on the basis of the preliminary results of the 2013 Farm Structure Survey. Compared to the 2010 Agricultural Census, their number has decreased by a few hundred.

Today, 1 September, marks the beginning of the 2020 Agricultural Census in Estonia. The census, which is organised every ten years, lasts until 15 November. Statistics Estonia expects around 11,600 agricultural holdings to participate in the census.

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the third quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 1% and imports by 3% at current prices compared with the same quarter of 2022. Sales of services to non-residents totalled 2.8 billion euros and purchases of services from non-residents amounted to 2.2 billion euros. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2017, life expectancy at birth was 73.7 years for males and 82.3 years for females. In the last ten years, male life expectancy has risen by 6 and female life expectancy by 3.5 years. As a result, the difference in male and female life expectancy has decreased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2018, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 3.9% compared to 2017. For the third consecutive year the economic growth in Estonia was faster than 3%. In the 4th quarter of 2018, the Estonian economy increased by 4.2% compared to the 4th quarter of 2017.

According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 1.0% in the 2nd quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
