Prevention activities should have sufficient impact to avoid crimes and conflicts as much as possible. By the afternoon of Saturday, 7 January, more than 200,000 persons had been enumerated online. This represents about 15% of the Estonian population. Participation rates are still the highest in Tartu and Harju counties.

This year, the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant was awarded to Sven Erik Ojavee from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Tartu. The aim of the grant is to motivate young people to apply and develop statistical methods.
