According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2018, there were approximately 11,400 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2018, the number of job vacancies increased by 8%. However, compared to the 2nd quarter of 2017, the number of job vacancies decreased by 5%. The number of job vacancies has exceeded 10,000 since the 1st quarter of 2017.

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 8% compared to November 2017. Production increased in manufacturing and energy, but decreased in mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2018, the exports of goods increased by 17% and imports by 20% compared to October 2017. According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2015, exports of goods decreased by 6% and imports decreased by 10% compared to May of the previous year. The biggest decrease occurred in the exports and imports of agricultural products and food preparations, mechanical appliances and mineral products.

The number of job vacancies did not change compared to the previous quarter but decreased by 6% compared to the 1st quarter of 2017. The number of job vacancies has exceeded 10,000 in the past five quarters.

Statistics Estonia’s call to notify of double data collection elicited 54 proposals. Complete or partial re-requesting for data was identified in the case of four questionnaires.

The winner in the older age group was team Radiaator, supervised by Kerli Orav-Puurand, from Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium, and the winner in the younger age group was team Auleobak, supervised by Jelena Ait, from Tallinna Tõnismäe Reaalkool.
