Data from the population and housing census conducted at the end of 2021 show that on average in Estonia, people’s homes are older than they are, and the number of households living in private houses has increased.
Censuses introduce new terms that might be unfamiliar for most people, such as ‘household’, ‘family nucleus’, ‘partner’, and even such a peculiar concept as ‘non-family household’. What do all these terms mean and what is their purpose?
The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 0.3% in May 2023 compared with April and rose by 0.8% compared with May last year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2024, the gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 2.4% compared with the same period of 2023. The GDP at current prices amounted to 8.9 billion euros.
The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, decreased by 0.4% in March 2023 compared with February 2023 and increased by 7.9% compared with March 2022.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.3% compared to March 2016 and by -1.7% compared to April 2015.
The total area of utilised agricultural land did not change considerably in 2017. Production of field crops was higher than in the previous year, but a lot of production was not harvested. The number of pigs increased and the number of cattle also increased slightly. Less meat but more milk and eggs were produced than in the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2018, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.1% compared to April and by 1.9% compared to May 2017.
According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -2.3% compared to January 2016 and by -2.2% compared to February 2015.
