The number of foreign tourists doubled in September

In April, the trade deficit was 365 million euros, which is 18 million euros more than in April 2025. Jane Leppmets, foreign trade statistics analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the year-on-year increase in total exports was influenced the most by the 19% rise in re-exports, i.e. the exports of previously imported goods. “Re-exports of fuels showed the biggest growth. Today, on 1 December, Statistics Estonia launched a publicity campaign to raise awareness among the Estonian population of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011), set to begin on 31 December.
