Import of services takes place when a resident of Estonia purchases services from a non-resident, incl. from an economic unit that belongs to the same enterprise group but is located abroad. For providing services, it is not necessary to cross country borders, i.e. services can be provided in Estonia or abroad.

At the end of the year, on 28 December, the Population and Housing Census, conducted every ten years, starts in Estonia. Everyone living in Estonia is invited to complete an online questionnaire for the census by 22 January 2022. In February, census takers will call or visit the people for whom filling in the questionnaire is mandatory.

Income is a much broader concept than wages. The preparation of environmental accounts based on the principles of economic statistics allows the integrated analysis of production, resource and energy use, emissions and environmental taxes. By combining data, it is possible to assess the impact of the economy on the environment and the contribution of the environment to the economy
Everyone living in Estonia is welcome to fill in a short e-questionnaire for the Census

From today until 22 January 2022, the e-questionnaire for the Population and Housing Census is open. Everyone living in Estonia is welcome to respond to the e-census. Only people who are included in the survey sample may expect a phone call or visit from a census taker if they have not filled in the e-questionnaire.

The big Estonian population e-census, which begins at the end of the year, is largely based on register data. For reliable census results, all Estonian residents are invited in the next few months to check and, if necessary, correct population register data concerning their education, ethnicity, place of residence and contacts.

Statistics Estonia and all other statistical authorities of the European Union, forming the European Statistical System partnership, are responsible for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics. All European statistical authorities adhere to the 16 key principles defined in the European Statistics Code of Practice, which is supported by the Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System. Implementation of the European Statistics Code of Practice is monitored through peer reviews conducted about every five years. The previous round of peer reviews was
