According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2019, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 1% compared to May 2018. Production increased in manufacturing, but decreased in energy and mining.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2021, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 17% year on year. Production increased by 17% in the energy sector and by 18% in manufacturing, but decreased by 1% in mining.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2018, there were approximately 10,500 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number of job vacancies has exceeded 10,000 since the 1st quarter of 2017.
On 7 October, Statistics Estonia will launch a pilot Labour Force Survey, which will be conducted in parallel to the regular Labour Force Survey. The aim of the pilot survey is to test the renewed questionnaire and methodology, which will be implemented in 2021. This is the first time that the respondents can use an online questionnaire and the sample of the survey will include persons aged 75‒89.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 7.4% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2018. The average hourly gross wages and salaries were 8.22 euros, which is 9% more than in the same quarter of 2018.
