Today, on 21 October, the Director General of Statistics Estonia Mr Andres Oopkaup presented Ms Kairiin Kütt with the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index was 5.7% in February 2011 compared to February of the previous year and 0.6% compared to January 2011.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2013, 80% of households in Estonia had access to the Internet at home. The share of such households has increased five percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2014, exports of goods increased by 1% and imports by 4% at current prices compared to March of the previous year. Foreign trade had declined for nine consecutive months compared to the same month of the previous year, but in March foreign trade increased.
According to Statistics Estonia, the percentage change of the construction price index in the 1st quarter of 2015 was 0.6% compared to the 4th quarter of 2014 and 0.1% compared to the 1st quarter of 2014.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2012, exports of goods from Estonia decreased by 8% at current prices and imports to Estonia remained on the same level compared to May of the previous year. A small decrease in exports was also influenced by the record high basis in May of the previous year. Compared to April this year, the trade increased in May.
According to Statistics Estonia, by 15 September, 81% of the sown area of cereals, 21% of the sown area of rape and turnip rape, and 42% of the area under potatoes had been harvested.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 3.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
