According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate rose to 15.5% in the 4th quarter of 2009, the annual average unemployment rate was 13.8%. Almost one third of the unemployed have been unemployed for a year or more.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2012, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year. At the same time, the high comparison basis makes the growth rate slower.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2016 compared to March 2015, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 3% at constant prices. While in January, the turnover increased 8% compared to the same month of the previous year and in February the growth decelerated to 5%, then in March the turnover growth decelerated even more.
In September, exports grew faster than imports

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2016, the exports of goods increased by 13% and imports by 2% compared to September of the previous year. In the third quarter as a whole exports grew 7%.
