According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 11,874 kroons (759 euros) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 72.00 kroons (4.60 euros). Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 0.9% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 0.3% higher.

Extra-EU exports of services were also up by 8%, however, extra-EU imports were down by 4%. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2016, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,119 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 7.1%. The year-over-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was slightly slower than in the previous quarter.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2012, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 855 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.21 euros. According to Statistics Estonia, in the first half of 2015, the biggest share of exports and imports of services was held by transportation and storage, which gave 31% of Estonia’s total services exports and 17% of total services imports.

Evelin Puura, the foreign trade statistics team lead at Statistics Estonia, pointed out that Estonia's exports were significantly affected by the re-exports of previously imported goods which increased by 30% year on year. “The rise in re-exports was mainly due to transport equipment,” Puura added.
