According to Statistics Estonia, 64%, i.e. the majority of the value added generated in the Estonian economy in 2016 was created in Harju county. The share of the service sector continues to grow, having increased in 2016 by more than 2 percentage points in most counties.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,259 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 74.25 kroons. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2008, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 6.5% lower and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 6.7% lower.

Today, 6 February 2,200 enumerators will come together in training centres all over Estonia to acquire skills and knowledge necessary for enumerator’s work.

Statistics Estonia: the e-census software will be updated tonight

Tonight, on 3 January, the e-census software will be updated. As a result, it will not be possible to participate in the e-census between 23:00 and 24:00. The updates are required to eliminate certain problems that have emerged in the first few days of the census.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 7,300 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2015. The number of job vacancies increased by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter and by 1.3% compared to the 1st quarter of 2014.

Statistics Estonia: Enumerators will start visiting people from 16 February

The enumerators will visit people in the Population and Housing Census starting at the end of the year only during the period 16.02 – 31.03.2012 and present their employment certificate with a photo issued by Statistics Estonia. According to Statistics Estonia, there were more than 6,300 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 4th quarter of 2011 – this is 31% more than in the same period last year. The rate of job vacancies was 1.3%.
