According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, men accounted for slightly more than a fifth of the 34,570 persons receiving parental benefit. The average monthly parental benefit was 1,170 euros for women and 1,638 euros for men. The parental benefit gap was the lowest ever.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, life expectancy at birth was 77.2 years in Estonia. Male life expectancy was 72.8 years and female life expectancy was 81.4 years. Life expectancy has decreased for both men and women. Men can expect to live disability-free for 54.9 years and women for 58 years.

Statistical thresholds In 2024, the statistical threshold for the dispatches of goods is 350,000 euros (last year, it was 270,000 euros). The big Estonian population e-census, which begins at the end of the year, is largely based on register data. According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2021, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 4% year on year. Production increased by 9% in manufacturing, but decreased by 28% in mining and by 16% in energy production.
