According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2012, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 855 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.21 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2011, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 5.7% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries increased 8.1%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 11,865 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 74.46 kroons. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 2.3% lower and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 2.7% lower.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that the consumer price index in May was almost unchanged compared with April but rose by 4.5% year on year. “Compared with May 2024, the index was affected the most by the 7.1% higher prices of food products. In transport, prices increased by 6.2%, mainly due to the motor vehicle tax introduced in January and price changes in passenger transport. New price lists for health services are in force from April, including an increased appointment fee for specialist medical care, which also affected the index year on

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2012, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 900 euros and increased 5.0% compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year. The increase was smaller than in the previous quarters.

According to the final results of the 2013 Farm Structure Survey, there were 19,200 agricultural holdings in Estonia, of which nearly 1,000 largest ones produce more than three-quarters of standard output, announces Statistics Estonia. At the same time, there are 4,500 agricultural holdings which do not produce agricultural products but only maintain their lands in good agricultural and environmental condition.
