Turnover of enterprises Labour costs of enterprises Turnover of enterprises Statistics Estonia publishes short-term statistics on the turnover of enterprises. The interactive charts provide an overview of the situation of enterprises on the basis of VAT returns. The statistics cover companies liable to VAT and self-employed persons who have submitted a VAT return. Data are presented for three time periods. The longest time series start in 2005 and also cover the previous economic crisis. The shorter time series show changes since 2017, and in the case of municipalities, since 2018. The chart

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2022, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 4.8% at constant prices compared to May 2021. Output increased in all three industrial sectors: by 2.2% in manufacturing, by 34.2% in electricity production and by 25.5% in mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2022, the total production of industrial enterprises decreased by 12.2% at constant prices compared with November 2021. Output fell in all three sectors – by 3.6% in electricity production, by 13.1% in manufacturing and by 11.1% in mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 7.8% at constant prices compared to March 2021. Output increased in all three sectors: by 6.6% in manufacturing, 5.2% in mining, and 21.3% in energy production.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,538 euros, which is 7.3% higher than the year before. Gross wages and salaries were the highest in Harju and Tartu counties, and in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, on 1 January 2022, the population of Estonia was 1,328,439, which is 1,629 persons less than at the same time a year ago. In 2021, there were 13,138 births and 18,445 deaths in Estonia. Based on the data on registered migration, 12,280 persons immigrated to Estonia and 8,602 persons emigrated from Estonia.
General government balance continued in surplus
