According to Statistics Estonia, 268,000 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in May 2015, which is 2% fewer than in May 2014. The number of foreign tourists decreased and the number of domestic tourists increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2012, 220,000 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which was 3% more than in October of the previous year.

The total area of utilised agricultural land did not change considerably in 2017. Production of field crops was higher than in the previous year, but a lot of production was not harvested. 2017 was a record year in world tourism. Of those staying in accommodation establishments, by country of residence, the number of Estonian residents increased the most, and of foreign tourists, more tourists arrived from Russia and Latvia. The total number of domestic and foreign tourists who stayed in accommodation establishments set a new record already for the eighth consecutive year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,869 kroons (822 euros) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 75.81 kroons (4.85 euros). Compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 1.2% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 1.7% lower.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 189,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments of Estonia, which was 16% less than in the same month of previous year. The average cost of a guest night has fallen down to the level of 2003.
