According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2011, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 809 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 4.82 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of the previous year, the average monthly gross wages and salaries grew 6.6% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries by 4.7%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2013, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 930 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.58 euros. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2009, 1,700 enterprises operated in the information and communications technologies (ICT) sector, which gave 5% of the net sales of the business sector.

Statistics Estonia will organise the pilot census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census in nine local governments of Estonia in autumn 2009. About 10,000 persons and their dwellings will be enumerated during the census.
