By the afternoon of Saturday, 7 January, more than 200,000 persons had been enumerated online. This represents about 15% of the Estonian population. Participation rates are still the highest in Tartu and Harju counties.

Today, on 9 March, Statistics Estonia launches the Household Budget Survey of 2015, which collects data from households on their everyday expenditure and consumption. The previous survey was conducted in 2012.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008 Estonian enterprises produced 1.5 times more wind power and by a third more hydro power compared to 2007. Since 2005, electricity production from renewable sources has gradually increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, the Agricultural Census starting in September will provide an in-depth overview of rural economy and will enable to compare Estonian agriculture with that of other European Union countries.

By the afternoon of Tuesday, 3 January, 102,620 persons had been enumerated online. This represents more than 8% of all Estonian residents. Participation rates have been the highest in Harju and Tartu counties.

Today, on 12 November, at the conference of the Estonian Statistical Society, the Director General of Statistics Estonia Mr Andres Oopkaup presented Ms Cliona Georgia Dalberg with the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant.

Secure data interoperability Statistics Estonia received 1,099,300 euros via the innovation fund for the project “Secure data interoperability between sectors”. The innovation fund is administered by the Government Office of Estonia, and its activities and projects are funded under the European Union Cohesion Policy 2021–2027 measure “Development of innovation capacities in the public sector”.
