According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 0.2% compared to the 2nd quarter and by 4.2% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2017.

According to Statistics Estonia, 22.6% of the Estonian population lived at risk of poverty in 2017.  The percentage of people at risk of poverty increased 1.6 percentage points compared to the previous year.

Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the volume of turnover was unchanged in December year on year but started to increase in January. “The rise in retail trade volume in January was mostly due to enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel, as their turnover volume rose by 4% compared with January 2025. According to Statistics Estonia, 21.1% of the Estonian population, i.e. nearly 276,000 persons lived in relative poverty in 2016. The percentage of people living in relative poverty decreased 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous year.
