According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2020, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad increased by 7% year on year. The construction volume increased in Estonia, but decreased in foreign countries.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, there were 82,500 amateurs of folk culture in Estonia. 59,000 of them sang in choirs or danced in folk dance groups. The most folk culture amateurs per thousand inhabitants were in Võru county and the least in Ida-Viru county.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2013, 160,000 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of Estonia, which was 5% more than in February 2012. The number of domestic tourists as well as foreign tourists increased.

Environmental measures implemented by the state support the development of environmentally friendly consumption and production habits. One of these measures is environmental taxes. Their share in the total tax revenue in Estonia has increased over the years. The purpose of environmental taxes is to mitigate the negative impact of human activity on the environment and to reduce environmental pollution. Working international students and graduates contributed over 22 million euros in taxes in the previous academic year

Statistics Estonia analysed the economic contribution of working international students and international graduates. The analysis, commissioned by the Education and Youth Board, shows that, in the academic year 2021/22, international degree students contributed 14 million euros and international graduates over 8 million euros in taxes. In recent years, there has been a considerable rise in the number of international graduates who stay to work in Estonia after graduation. The majority of these graduates work in Tallinn.
