According to Statistics Estonia, the data of the Innovation Survey show that 47.6% of enterprises were innovative in 2012. Compared to the previous, 2010 Survey, the rate of innovativeness decreased by 9.2 percentage points.

eSTAT is replaced by a new self-service environment Starting from 12 June, data can be submitted to Statistics Estonia in the new self-service environment at uuringud.stat.ee . To make data submission as easy and convenient as possible, all questionnaires will be updated in the new environment. Currently, only some of the questionnaires have been updated, however, the goal is to update all enterprise questionnaires by the end of 2026. Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, noted that the biggest decline at 4% was registered in the turnover volume of stores selling manufactured goods. In grocery stores, the volume of turnover was down by 3%. “However, the turnover volume of enterprises engaged in the retail sale of automotive fuel increased by 2% last year,” added Pihlak. In the second quarter, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises was 995 million euros, including 617 million euros’ worth of building construction and 378 million euros’ worth of civil engineering.
