As a result of the cooperation between Statistics Estonia, software company Skriining and Ida-Viru central hospital, the first set of wages data that were submitted directly from the enterprise’s IT system arrived at Statistics Estonia this spring.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2017, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 4.9% compared to 2016. In the 4th quarter of 2017, the Estonian economy grew by 5.0% compared to the 4th quarter of 2016.

There will be no competition this year. Statistics Estonia has awarded the young statistician’s prize named after Albert Pullerits since 2011. Albert Pullerits (1892–1967) was the first director of the Estonian State Central Bureau of Statistics and the founder and developer of official statistics in Estonia. The prize is given to a student whose Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the area of population, social life, economy or the environment applies or develops a statistical method. The aim of Albert Pullerits prize is to recognise young people who help to promote statistics as an important

According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2009 the Estonian general government sector deficit was 1.7% and gross debt level was 7.2% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the 4th quarter the Estonian general government sector surplus was 4.3 billion kroons.

Statistics Estonia announces yet again the competition for the young statistician’s grant named after Albert Pullerits. The aim of the grant is to promote statistics as an important field of science, to encourage students to apply and develop statistical methods and to improve Statistics Estonia’s cooperation with research organisations.

According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. During the three quarters this year economic the growth has been stably robust.

What kind of survey is it? The Farm Structure Survey gives an overview of the state of agriculture in Estonia. This information is required for developing agricultural policies. The survey provides statistics on agricultural holdings that are comparable across the European Union (EU). Agriculture produces almost 100% of food, covers around 40% of the EU territory, and takes up about 30% of the EU budget. The EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is the only policy the implementation of which is almost entirely financed by EU funds – therefore, it must be based on detailed input data. Farm

According to Statistics Estonia, 21.1% of the Estonian population, i.e. nearly 276,000 persons lived in relative poverty in 2016. The percentage of people living in relative poverty decreased 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous year.
