According to Statistics Estonia, by flash estimates, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia decreased by 2.3% in Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2010 compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2008 the total profit of enterprises’ sector was 39 billion kroons, which is by a fourth less than in the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were more than 8,100 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2012 – this is 29% more than in the same period last year. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the number of job vacancies has been increasing since the 2nd quarter of 2010, after the decline in 2008 and 2009.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 11,874 kroons (759 euros) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 72.00 kroons (4.60 euros). Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 0.9% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 0.3% higher.
