Statistics Estonia revised the national accounts time series from 2000 onwards. Ensuing from all the corrections, the annual gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices changed, on average, by 1% in 2000–2013.
According to the questionnaire carried out by the research agency Faktum & Ariko in August, two thirds of the population of Estonia is ready to answer the Census questionnaire via Internet.
The Farm Structure Survey (FSS) is conducted in Estonia from the beginning of September until 15 November. The results of the FSS, which is carried out in all European Union countries, serve as input for the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in April 2009 exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 7.7 billion kroons at current prices and imports to Estonia 9.5 billion kroons. Compared to April of the previous year, both exports and imports decreased about 40%.
According to the preliminary data of the 2011 Population and Housing Census, there are 1,294,236 permanent residents in Estonia. Compared to the previous census, the number of permanent residents in Estonia has decreased by 75,816 or 5.5%.
Today, on 17 March, the Government of the Republic approved the list of statistical actions for the years 2016–2020. In 2016, Statistics Estonia will organise 158 statistical actions, the cost of which is estimated at a total of 6.5 million euros.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2013 the total profit of the business sector was 647 million euros, which was 3% more than in the same period a year earlier. If the year ago the increase of enterprise sector’s total profit was on average 7% then in the 1st quarter this year the growth slowed down.
According to Statistics Estonia, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 13.7% in 2014 compared to the average of 2013. In the annual comparison, the prices of apartments increased by 15.5% and the prices of houses by 9.1%.
According to the revised estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 1.7% in the 1st quarter of 2016 compared to the 1st quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2014, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 1.1% compared to the 1st quarter and by 14.5% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2013.
