Foreign trade grew by 14% in Q1, growth slowed down in Q2
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, Estonia’s exports of goods grew by 6% and imports by 5%. Exports of goods amounted to over €1.4 billion and imports to more than €1.7 billion at current prices.
In June, the number of tourists increased by 2% year on year
According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served 391,000 tourists in June 2025, which is 2% more than in the same month last year. There were 5% more foreign tourists and 2% fewer domestic tourists than in June last year.
In July, the consumer price index rose by 0.6% compared with June
According to Statistics Estonia, in July, the consumer price index increased by 0.6% compared with June and by 5.4% compared with July 2024. Goods were 3.9% and services 7.7% more expensive than in July last year.
Industrial production volumes up by 2.9% in June
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 2.9% at constant prices compared with the corresponding month of 2024. Among the three industrial sectors, output increased by 5.9% in manufacturing but decreased by 8.9% in energy production and by 33.5% in mining.
HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.6% in July
According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in July 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, increased by 0.6% compared with June. Compared with July last year, the HICP rose by 5.6%.
Retail trade volume up by 5% in June
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2025, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was €928 million. Compared with June last year, the volume of retail trade turnover increased by 5%.
