To assure the quality of processes and products, Statistics Estonia applies the EFQM Excellence Model, the European Statistics Code of Practice and the Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System (ESS QAF). Statistics Estonia is also guided by the requirements in § 7. “Principles and quality criteria of producing official statistics” of the Official Statistics Act.
Statistics Estonia performs all statistical activities according to an international model (Generic Statistical Business Process Model – GSBPM). According to the GSBPM, the final phase of statistical activities is overall evaluation using information gathered in each phase or sub-process; this information can take many forms, including feedback from users, process metadata, system metrics and suggestions from employees. This information is used to prepare the evaluation report which outlines all the quality problems related to the specific statistical activity and serves as input for improvement actions. |

In compliance with the methodology described in Eurostat's handbook “Agricultural product and input price statistics" (2020). All the main groups of the price index for agricultural input are covered. |
The agricultural input price index (API) covers entire country and are comparable with other European Union countries.
The agricultural input price indices (API) are comparable across time. The indices can be chain-linked to make comparisons over time.
There are no direct benchmark figures to check cross domain coherence.
The internal consistency of the data is ensured by the use of a common methodology for data collection and data aggregation. The sub-indices are coherent with the total index. |

On the bases of collected data Laspeyres-type price indices are calculated and aggregated on the requred level. For computation of lowest-level indices geometric mean prices are used. Microdata are aggregated on the required level. Statistics Estonia updates the weights system and base prices for calculation of the agricultural input price index once in five years in accordance with Eurostat's methodology. The weights system corresponds to the expenses structure for production of agricultural products. The quarterly index has been calculated as the average of 3 months. The annual index has been calculated as the average of 12 months.
