According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2012, exports from Estonia amounted to 1.1 billion euros and imports to Estonia to 1.3 billion euros at current prices. Both, the turnover of exports as well as imports, were record high, at the same time the trade deficit increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2013, exports of goods increased by 6% and imports by 8% at current prices compared to April of the previous year. While the foreign trade declined in February and March compared to the previous year, then as of April, the trade increased. The increase in trade was mainly influenced by machinery and equipment.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in May 2009 exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 8 billion kroons at current prices and imports to Estonia 8.6 billion kroons. Foreign trade deficit was five times less than in May of the previous year being smaller than that last in September 1995.

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2014, exports of goods increased by 7% and imports by 9% at current prices compared to September of the previous year. The increase in exports and imports was mostly influenced by the trade of electrical equipment and raw materials and products of chemical industry. Over the nine months of 2014, exports and imports declined by 3% compared to the same period of 2013.
