According to Statistics Estonia, in 2018, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of enterprises, institutions and organisations were 1,310 euros, having increased by 7.3% compared to 2017. The average monthly gross wages and salaries increased in all economic activities, being the highest in the 2nd and 4th quarters.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2012, exports of goods from Estonia grew by 15% and imports to Estonia by 10% at current prices compared to the same month of the previous year. Foreign trade deficit decreased due to the growth in exports being faster than in imports.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2013, exports of goods increased by 6% and imports by 8% at current prices compared to April of the previous year. While the foreign trade declined in February and March compared to the previous year, then as of April, the trade increased. The increase in trade was mainly influenced by machinery and equipment.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2012, exports of goods from Estonia decreased by 8% at current prices and imports to Estonia remained on the same level compared to May of the previous year. A small decrease in exports was also influenced by the record high basis in May of the previous year. Compared to April this year, the trade increased in May.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2010 exports of goods grew by 37% and imports 18% compared to April of the previous year. Exports increased in the dispatches of all commodity sections, especially fuels.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2009 exports of goods from Estonia at current prices totalled 9.1 billion kroons and imports to Estonia amounted to 10.3 billion kroons. Compared to November 2008, total exports declined by 8% but exports of mineral products (incl. petroleum products) and of wood and products thereof increased.

According to the Statistics Estonia, at the beginning of academic year 2008/2009, 154,481 pupils were acquiring general education, 27,239 vocational education and 68,399 students were acquiring higher education. The decrease in the total number of pupils is influenced by the number of pupils acquiring general education, which has decreased during the last decade.
