What do I like about working at Statistics Estonia?

Eveli Voolens, leading analyst in social statistics

For me, working at Statistics Estonia is more than just producing statistics. I remember the time when, after getting my Bachelor’s degree, I joined Statistics Estonia and feared that maybe I would not fit in as a 21-year-old. It was quite the opposite. It is a joy to work with people who care about their work and want to achieve goals together.

Priit Metsma, specialist at Data Acquisition and Processing Department

At Statistics Estonia, I can work on interesting projects that teach me something. In my work, I come across exciting facts that I wasn’t aware of before. My colleagues are supportive and friendly and our motivation events are a lot of fun.

Eve Valdvee, leading analyst in agricultural statistics

By working at Statistics Estonia, I can give back to the society. Every day I gain new experiences, as we communicate with institutions and statistics users, including ministries and Eurostat, in Estonia and abroad. My colleagues are smart and supportive, and I enjoy working with them.

Merilin Ailt, data processor

Everyone counts at Statistics Estonia. As an employer, Statistics Estonia supports and values its employees. Each one of us makes a great effort, so that social phenomena and events could be analysed, contributing to research and development of Estonia.

Robert Müürsepp, leading analyst in economic statistics

It never gets boring at Statistics Estonia and there are plenty of challenges. I can develop in my own field or move to another branch of statistics. It is also possible to participate in European co-operation and in the wider international statistical community.

Tea Vassiljeva, methodologist

I like working at Statistics Estonia, because I always find my work interesting. If it feels like you have given your all in one team, you can move to another team and prove yourself there.
