1. A data processor ensures that the data quality is good, which is the basis of reliable statistics. He or she collects, enters and codes data, identifies problems and errors, and corrects these when necessary.
2. A data processor often communicates with respondents. The task of the data processor is to give information to respondents, advise them and, when necessary, to check for data accuracy.
3. A data processor’s job suits you if you enjoy instructing and helping people and can successfully work under pressure. In this position, you will be successful if you are detailed and responsible, have great computer skills and communicate in Estonian, Russian and English.

1. The task of a methodologist is to develop survey methodologies.
2. A methodologist analyses data sources, uses statistical methods to solve problems and proposes new solutions for data processing, calculation of statistics or quality assessment. He or she co-operates closely with analysts, advising them about methodology issues.
3. A methodologist’s job suits you if you have mathematical thinking and great analysis skills. In this position, you will be successful if you like complex tasks and finding solutions. This position requires very good knowledge of statistical methods and international methodology.

1. A data scientist tries to find associations and a better understanding of data. He or she runs queries in databases, processes and analyses big data, and visualises the results for a better understanding of social phenomena.
2. A data scientist’s job suits you if you have an inquisitive mind and are passionate about understanding and solving problems independently. In this position, you will be successful if you can approach problems scientifically, know how to work with large datasets and use tools for processing big data. You must have knowledge of mathematical methods, data mining principles and machine-learning techniques as well as programming languages.

1. The data collected by an interviewer are used for making important decisions in Estonia.
2. As an interviewer, you can decide when and where you work. The working time is flexible and the workload can be suited. You can work near your home or as a phone interviewer from home office.
3. An interviewer’s job can be either the main job, a temporary job or a regular second job. It is also suitable for retired persons or students. A great interviewer enjoys communication, works well under pressure, is detailed and responsible, has good computer skills and communicates in Estonian and Russian.
