The producer price index of industrial output increased in September

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.1% compared to August 2016 and by -0.9% compared to September 2015.

In September, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by an increase in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in the manufacture of chemicals and parts and accessories for motor vehicles but also by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of food, wood and metal products.

Compared to September 2015, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in mining and quarrying and in the manufacture of wood products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment and fuel oils.

In September 2016, the export price index changed by 0.2% compared to August 2016 and by 0.7% compared to September 2015.

In September, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, parts and accessories for motor vehicles and pharmacy products increased more than average, while the prices of chemical products, beverages and building materials decreased more than average.

In September 2016, the import price index changed by 0.6% compared to August 2016 and by -0.3% compared to September 2015.

In September, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, electricity and footwear and leather products increased more than average, while the prices of building materials and other manufacturing products decreased more than average.
