In May, the decrease in the producer price index of industrial output continued

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2015, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.1% compared to April 2015 and by -2.1% compared to May 2014.

In May, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in mining and in the manufacture of food products, but also by an increase in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the manufacture of fuel oils.

Compared to May 2014, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of electronic products and food products and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of metals and in mining.

In May 2015, the export price index changed by 0.6% compared to April 2015 and by -3.0% compared to May 2014.

In May, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, oil products and chemical products increased more than average, while the prices of motor vehicles and their parts, beverages and metals decreased more than average.

In May 2015, the import price index changed by 0.8% compared to April 2015 and by -1.5% compared to May 2014.

In May, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil and agricultural products and electricity increased more than average, while the prices of textile products and building materials decreased more than average.
