Producer price index did not change in December compared to the previous month

According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2011, the change in producer price index of industrial output was 0.0% compared to November and 3.0% compared to December 2010.

In December compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the production of food products and heat energy and by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of beverages and in the production of wood and wood products.

Compared to December 2010, the index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food products, chemicals and chemical products and by the decrease in prices in the production of paper and paper products as well as computer and electronic products.

In December 2011 the export price index changed by 0.0% compared to November 2011 and by 8.7% compared to December 2010.

In December compared to the previous month, the prices of food products, mineral fuels and several kind of machinery increased more than average, and the prices of peat products decreased more than average.

In December 2011 the import price index changed by -1.4% compared to November 2011 and by 5.4% compared to December 2010.

In December compared to the previous month, the prices of mineral fuels, wood products and building materials decreased more than average.
